BUT. You're a director. You make a fabulous indie film. You sign with Sony Pictures or whomever. You are then forced to make crappy romantic comedies and stupid teen-scream horror movies until you finally build up enough "cred" to make a great independent film. Then it starts again. Yeah, that’s all well and good. BUT.
