Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of South Park, were given a very special gift by US marines: a signed photo of Saddam Hussein. During his captivity, the marines forced Saddam to repeatedly watch the movie South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut, which shows him as the boyfriend of Satan. Stone said, "We're very proud of our signed Saddam picture and what it means. It's one of our biggest highlights."

Boeing didn't go into much detail about the shoot-down. In response to a query by CNET News, it did say this much about the strike by the the kilowatt-class laser: "A hole was burned in a critical flight control element of the UAV, rendering the aircraft unflyable."

FCC deepens probe into Pentagon TV analyst payola

Nineteen former military officers have received Letters of Inquiry from the Federal Communications Commission regarding allegations that they received favors from the Pentagon to spin the war on Iraq. Letters went out to five TV networks as well. The disclosure comes from FCC Commission Jonathan Adelstein, who revealed the move on Tuesday.
