RIAA somehow worse the Halliburton

   Um. How about because the RIAA sues college students and old people whose grandkids put songs on their computers, while Halliburton generally pisses people off and no one actually knows what they do, only that Dick Cheney used to be in charge of them.

   People are more likely to be pissed about what they can understand and relate to, and they can relate to the whole RIAA thing because they have songs on their compys.

   Also, the Consumerist’s audience is pretty geeky and consumer-savvy already. They can’t do anything about Halliburton, but they sure as hell can bitch about the RIAA.
