Millenium Falcon Legacy Edition review by Heroes Producer Jesse Alexander
My wife just bought this for me. The only negative I can say is that the landing gears are kind of flimsy and don’t sit 100%. Oh and it’s fricken huge. I have to find a pedestal to put it on.
Top 7 Death Rattle Games
GamesRadar is cooking today; I post this for two words, “Tribes 2”, or is that one word and a number? Anyway, I will never be able to live down recommending this game, that I hear finally has been patched BTW, to the clan. Just look at those screenshots, who couldn’t want that game; and it had jetpacks, COME ON!
Top 7 Games That Affect Real Life
Here they are, the games that make closing your eyes a step into a virtual world and keeping your eyes open a step into the not so real world around you. I will agree with Tony Hawk, I couldn’t help but think how bad ass it would be to grind some shit in my city, pulling 720’s and ollie’s along the way. And who hasn’t had Tetris fever, if you haven’t, you haven’t played enough.
not the best medicine
College student suffers from cataplexy. She seems to fall down laughing a lot.
She looks like any other student with her life ahead of her – happy, relaxed and without a care in the world.
But 20-year-old Kay Underwood could be paralysed if she gets a fit of the giggles.
The pretty architecture student, from Barrow upon Soar, Leicestershire, has cataplexy, which is a sudden weakening of the muscles brought on by strong emotions.
Hey, it could be worse… she could have spontaneous multiple orgasm disease.
the most bounce for your buck
A comparison of the PS3 vs 360 Soul Calibur IV.
Some may say that DOA perfected the art with the “independent bounce” feature, but we found it to be a bit excessive and grotesque. The door was left open for a new challenger to the cheesecake crown, and Soulcalibur IV has stepped up.
I’m sorry, but DoA’s “bouncing breasts mode” made working at Babbage’s that much more fun.
stuck in traffic? send a bill!
A woman stuck in traffic sent the Michigan DOT a bill for the gasoline she wasted.
When Carol Greenberg got stuck in a work-zone backup on southbound I-275 at its merge with I-75 in Monroe County late last month, she did more than just fume about it.
First, she sent the Michigan Department of Transportation an e-mail complaint. Then the Perrysburg resident did something many motorists probably consider but rarely, if ever, do.
Mrs. Greenberg sent MDOT a $16 bill for the gasoline she figured she’d wasted idling in traffic.
I wish I could do this. Getting out of the office and onto 75 usually isn’t so bad here, but the connector ramp from Monroe to 85 is usually a nightmare.
hidden gems #308
In an article about Playgirl magazine going web-only, I found this:
Nicole Caldwell, Playgirl’s editor-in-chief, just emailed confirmation that the magazine is indeed shuttering its print operation.
“Playgirl is going all-Web. The last print issue will be the Jan/Feb 2009 magazine, which comes out Nov. 18,” Caldwell writes.
The January/February 2009 issue comes out November 18.
Does not compute.
The 24 Best PS3 Games
GameSpot brings the 24 Best Games for the PS3 out for you to see in all it’s glory. Now there’s probably going to be some stragglers to the PS3 table of awesomeness but lest you come late here’s what you missed. They do highlight a lot of the AAA titles everyone and their second cousin knows about but there are a few gems along the way like Skate, which I wrote off as a Tony Hawk wannabe, and Warhawk which I never paid attention to but looks like it might be a fun game. Speaking of PS3 this article reminds me we all need to get in on some Tekken 5 Online and throw down. I’ve been missing the days of old busting everyones heads with Bryan Fury and no one will forget the perfecting of Eddy Gordo.
Install a Tracker in your Car for Cheap Insurance
MyRate is an optional, behavior-based car insurance program that lets drivers pay based on how, how much and when their car is driven. Drivers who choose to participate simply plug a small wireless device into a port in their car that automatically sends driving data to Progressive. Cars driven less often, in less risky ways and at less risky times of day can receive a lower premium.
Designers on quest to build $12 computer
“We see this as a model that could increase economic opportunities for people in developing countries,” said Lomas, part of a team that’s trying to develop a $12 computer at this month’s MIT International Development Design Summit. “If you just know how to type, that can be the difference between earning $1 an hour instead of $1 a day.”
He and others at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology symposium hope to soup up the systems – which are based on old Apple II computers – with rudimentary Web access and more.
