I probably could’ve googled a recipe at any time, but I’m lazy. Anyway, yay! Tzatziki recipe!

1 – 2 cups greek yogurt or strained plain yogurt – just let it sit in a paper towel lined sieve over a bowl for an hour or so – i used the larger package of fago greek yogurt
2 chopped cucumbers chopped, spread out on dish towel, sprinkled with salt, let sit an hour or so to bring out the moisture, roll up in towel, press lightly, and there – de-moisturized cucumbers
chopped clove of garlic or more if you dare
chopped mint about 2tsp
1/2 cup crumbled feta

combine all ingredients, cover, and store in fridge for several hours to marry flavors – can be made the night before, but know that the raw garlic will get more potent the longer it sits

Airlines to Begin Selling Ads on Boarding Passes

Several major airlines will begin displaying ads on boarding passes for customers who check in from home. Customers can print the boarding passes without ads if they want.

So, then, what’s the point?

Actually, the point is, pretty soon there’ll be a “print without ads” fee, and then we’ll all be looking at giant pictures of overpriced three-ounce toiletries as we tear our own boarding passes and hand them to the lazy Spirit gate agents.

By the way… is it just me, or have airlines stopped even pretending to clean the planes between flights lately…?

Harmonix clarifies RB1 to RB2 compatibility

Yup, good word from the boys at Harmonix that makes sense, you’ll be able to play the majority of Rock Band 1 on disk songs in Rock Band 2. It all comes down to the licensing Harmonix was able to secure, they also say they had to renegotiate the contract for all the songs. I call that going the extra mile and for that, Rock Band 2 is an insta-buy on release day. Thanks Joystiq

The whole story is pretty interesting, but it’s this somewhat-throwaway passage that caught me.

I think incest is traditionally seen as bad, but in some cultures that
isnt the case. When I was small I asked a Sunday school teacher if Adam and
Eves children married each other since they were the first people on earth.
She just laughed and didnt reply. Having children with Daniel was never an
issue and we were always careful about contraception.

She’s lucky she didn’t go to one of those churches where they punish you for those sorts of questions.

In Time Enough For Love, Heinlein addresses the whole issue of sibling procreation. Apparently it’s all about shared genes or somesuch. (Yes, I know, it’s sci-fi.)
