Punisher – War Zone Review
Punisher – War Zone Review – CHUD
Dated August 20th, 2007, Lexi Alexander’s screenplay – simply titled “Punisher†(and not the recently-revealed Punisher: War Zone) is a massive disappointment for me, if only because I really appreciate her first feature, Green Street Hooligans. Hooligans’ characters are at turns charismatic and revolting, and the film’s visuals are possessed of grit that doesn’t feel completely contrived.
And the best quote goes to “Some twelve-year-old kid putting my old pal Ding Chavez through his paces on Xbox Live has a better understanding of tactics than Frank Castle in this film.” That right there seals the deal for a no see, I guess we never will get to see a really good Punisher movie, maybe we can still hope for the Hulk….. nahhh.
Who had some of these are their report card?
These are actual comments made on students’ report cards by teachers in the New York City public school system. All teachers were reprimanded but, boy, are these funny!!!
1. Since my last report, your child has reached rock bottom and has started to dig.
2. I would not allow this student to breed.
3. Your child has delusions of adequacy.
4. Your son is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot.
5. Your son sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them.
6. The student has a “full six-pack” but lacks the plastic thing to hold it all together.
7. This child has been working with glue too much.
8. When your daughter’s IQ reaches 50, she should sell.
9. The gates are down, the lights are flashing, but the train isn’t coming.
10. If this student were any more stupid, he’d have to be watered twice a week.
11. It’s impossible to believe the sperm that created this child beat out 1,000,000 others.
12. The wheel is turning but the hamster is definitely dead.
Get your learn on at YouTube?
UC Berkeley first to post full lectures to YouTube – CNET News
YouTube is now an important teaching tool at UC Berkeley. The school announced on Wednesday that it has begun posting entire course lectures on the Web’s No.1 video-sharing site. The school said that over 300 hours of videotaped courses will be available at youtube.com/ucberkeley. The topics of study found on YouTube included chemistry, physics, biology and even a lecture on search-engine technology given in 2005 by Google cofounder Sergey Brin.
Great so YouTube has gone from Stupidity to Educator, so now we’re educatedly stupid.

On Oct. 6th the X-Wing will take flight
Star Wars X-Wing Fighter – Polecat Aerospace
A long time ago, in a garage in Santee, California, a group of slightly insane rocketeers decided to make a flying scale model of the X-Wing fighter from what is arguably the best movie ever made, Star Wars. We decided to make the project to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first Star Wars movie. The first is just the massive size of the rocket. It is over 21′ long, with a wingspan of over 19′. We opted to use a cluster of four motors to emulate the “real” X-wing, and positioned the motors in the wing pods. The real challenge was to make the wings move in flight, from the “attack” position, or extended to the “landing” position, or folded. This proved to be quite a mechanical feat.
