O’REILLY: But do you understand what the New York Times wants, and the far-left want? They want to break down the white, Christian, male power structure, which you’re a part, and so am I, and they want to bring in millions of foreign nationals to basically break down the structure that we have.

A company called Solar Electrical Vehicles is specializing in adding a convex solar roof to hybrid cars like the Toyota Prius, Highlander Hybrid and the Ford Escape Hybrid. The solar modules are rated at 200-300 Whr, and this power is utilized to charge a supplemental battery. With the solar roof, the Toyota Prius can operate up to 20 miles per day in electric mode thus improving fuel economy by up to 29%.

This Star magazine cover trumpets a great scoop — Brad and Angelina caught together on vacation! Only, not so much. The magazine doctored two separate oceanside pictures of each actor. Tucked away on page eight was a disclaimer noting the image is a “composite of two photographs.”

Hundreds of prisoners serving life sentences in Italy have called on President Giorgio Napolitano to bring back the death penalty.

So life in prison is cheaper on the taxpayer, and worse for the criminal.  Sounds good to me!

Accounting Rules ‘Hiding’ Trillions of National Debt

http://www.usatoday.com/printedition/news/20070529/1a_lede29.art.htm

The federal government recorded a $1.3 trillion loss last year — far more than the official $248 billion deficit — when corporate-style accounting standards are used, a USA TODAY analysis shows.

Modern accounting requires that corporations, state governments and local governments count expenses immediately when a transaction occurs, even if the payment will be made later.

The federal government does not follow the rule, so promises for Social Security and Medicare don’t show up when the government reports its financial condition.

My Microswitch Keyboard

http://mykeyboard.co.uk/microswitch/

I’ve constructed a 124-key microswitch keyboard. This uses Saia-Burgess low force microswitches – the best keyswitches I’ve been able to find so far.

The overall key layout is like the Kinesis and Maltron keyboards. The actual alphanumeric arrangement used owes much to my previous Kinesis layout.

As a bit of an experiment, I attempted to spread the keying load between flexor and extensor muscles – by positioning some of the switches in an inverted position.ÂÂ
