Thanks for linking to the Fabjectory site. I think the “perfecting” you’re talking about is most likely the blockiness of the avatars. This is a hard thing to overcome as we’re using the original models from SecondLife (and elsewhere), but without the onscreen visual tricks that make them seem smoother. It also gets into how much someone might be willing to pay: if it cost a $500 dollars, but was perfect would there be any buyers?

Thanks for commenting Michael. I understand where you’re coming from, working with imperfect models which are smoothed over and crisped up via hardware/software. Also, balancing the cost vs. benefit (and perfection) is important for any business model. I definitely see your points and appreciate you taking out time to discuss that on our site. As far as I’m concerned, the coolness factor of having your own model is your biggest selling point. [THC] wishes you good luck with your enterprise.
