In Broward County (FL) principals can ‘fire’ bad teachers… Teachers have a year-to-year contract, and it is up to the principal to ‘rehire’ the teacher for the next year.
Problem is, the job is so low-paying that they’re having a very hard time attracting new/good teachers.
