Overclock Your Reading Speed

   4. Try to read more than one word at a time. This is a speed reading technique known as chunking. By looking at ‘blocks’ of words as you read, you will allow your mind to process ideas and visual images instead of individual words.

   One of my professors referenced this.

   I read extremely fast — I finished Harry Potter 6 in under three hours. I was never taught to read fast in any way except starting to read when I was very, very young and being encouraged to read A LOT.

   The more you read, the better you are at recognizing text blocks and ideas.
