Gamestop and the other stores under its aegis train their employees to sell used first, because there’s a vastly higher profit margin, even when the used game is $25 and the new game is $50.
I worked for Babbage’s, which also owned Software Etc and started Gamestop, which became Gamestop, which bought EB.
MSTs, protection plans, call-list signups, and preorders were also things we were pretty much required to do each week. It took all the fun out of the job.
But there were plenty of babes hanging around while their male counterparts bought games. That was always a plus.
