It was simultaneously used by 16 students on separate terminals.7 In 1974, Rawitsch joined MECC and installed Oregon onto the statewide computer system. Since all schools with computers in Minnesota were capable of accessing the system, soon the game was being widely used across the state by children of many ages.

I totally played Oregon Trail in elementary school!!

Computer class = play Oregon Trail for 30 minutes on Apple II E’s.

Heh… My dad and brother were the school’s ‘techs… They’d go in on the weekends and fix any broken computers – for free!

Also, my father was the president of the local A.C.E.S. (Apple Computer Enjoyment Society) back in the ’80’s!

Old school stuff rocks. My dad threw out a lot of his old Apple stuff, but I believe we still have one Apple II E and an Apple II GS (signed by Woz).

Ah… Memories…..
