For Photography there is no such thing as bad weather. In fact, I have consistently taken my best photos in what most people consider bad weather.

I compose photos — and crop them when taking them off the AP wire — using thirds — either top-middle-bottom or left-middle-right.

Also I take note of where the content is going to appear (usually to the left of the picture) and weight the photo in the opposite direction — the focus of the photo is on the right-side third, with the person looking left. I think it looks a lot better.
