The Chicago Tapes Project is a public art/experimental sound project in which citizens exchange mixtapes, found sounds and original recordings via publicly hidden streetside stations. Any and all are encouraged to participate. Use the links to the left to find out more about the project and how you can contribute.

This looks pretty sweet, a throwback to the love of a new mixtape, traded anonymously.  I’m going to look into setting up on in my stomping grounds of NYC.
