Bank Robber Escapes by Innertube

A man robbed an armored car driver in Monroe and escaped by floating down the Skykomish River on an innertube or inflatable raft, The Associate Press reported.

By the time police arrived he had floated away.

Willis says investigators believe others involved in the crime could have picked him up at a nearby boat launch or park.
