Patrick Cudahy, a Cudahy, Wisc., firm, is recalling approximately 3,590 pounds of bacon bit products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced today.

Atom based Netbooks are selling really well, but Centrino 2 notebooks are not, and as a result notebook manufacturer’s are asking for a delay in the Core i7 version of the notebook chip due this summer, so that they can sell off excess inventory in the mean time.  Centrino 2 stuff is also not being discounted by Intel as heavily, due to fears that it would cut into their Atom sales.  Oh what a wicked web we weave, when first we practice to fix prices.

In this instructable, I'll show you how to install bias lighting on your LCD monitor. Bias lighting can really help to improve your perception of contrast, and make panel monitors much easier on the eyes.

i can’t recommend this enough! effective, indirect lighting that doesn’t glare your monitor. turns out i already had everything i needed for this very simple project.

i’ve also got a newer APC UPS which has a master control plug which controls three slaves. my computer is plugged into the master, and the UPS senses it drawing current it switches the slaves on. once current draw ceases, the slaves are turned off.
